 CrossFit Games competitor dies in Texas A competitor at the CrossFit Games in Fort Worth, Texas, has died, the organization announced Thursday. The competitor died during the water portion of the event. According to Metro, Lazar Dukic was last seen with 100 meters to go in the 800m event. The swim followed a 3.5-mile run, and organizers noticed Dukic missing as other athletes were emerging from the water to cross the finish line. A helicopter from the local CBS affiliate flew over Marine Creek Reservoir and saw first responders pull a body from the water and then place it in a body bag. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed by authorities or the organization. The other events that were scheduled for today have been cancelled.
